...there are also good cruises, really good cruises, and really great cruises. This cruise on the MSC Divinia was none of those!
OK, let's start with the positives. The MSC Divinia is a really beautiful ship. The public areas, the swimming pools, the dining rooms are all lovely; very European and very well maintained. I believe that this excellent maintenance is attributable to the truly excellent housekeeping staff (mostly Filipino and truly dedicated to their work) who patrol the ship and keep it sparkling clean. In fact, my cabin attendant was so good, so considerate, so thoughtful, and so on top of things that even though my wife and I were charged the usual $12 USD each per day for gratuities, I gave my cabin steward an extra $50 just for being so attentive to us.
Then there was the entertainment. Although producing six different shows for six consecutive evenings is a monumental task for the most part they pulled it off. Of course, some of the shows were better than others. However, I do have to rate the entertainment as first class. It was most enjoyable and the productions and the talent were exceptional. So, housekeeping was great, the ship is beautiful, and the shows, for the most part, were stunning. That's about where this section ends.
The cabin was smaller than most, but comfortable and exceptionally well maintained. Besides, how much time does one spend in the cabin? Sleep, shower, and leave!
Of course, Miami is a wonderful city!
Lovely crew and a very nice day.
Wonderful city. I've been there many, many times.
Nassau is Nassau. Not much more to say. I do wish they'd improve their cruise terminal. It was a dangerous mob scene trying to get back on board the cruise ship.
