Traveled from Utah with 2 cars, 6 kids with ages from 11 to 22, wife and I, we had a wonderful wonderful cruise.
Embarkation was quick and smooth - no delays. Total time once we gave our luggage to the peops out front of terminal, to boarding the Jewel, probably 20-30 minutes. WOW! :)
Once aboard, everything was easy to find, as we headed straight to the buffet for food. Didn't have to wait for more than an hour or two and could go to our rooms. All luggage showed up to our cabins within the next few hours, but no hurry, since we knew there was a process to be done. Our cabins (4565 & 4567) were just fine, as we knew that with our tight budget for this, it would be cramped. 4 in each room was perfect, because the only time spent in the rooms were to sleep or change. When you're on a cruise, why spend so much time in them, with all the happenings on the ship! :) Bathrooms were nice, shower was bigger than usually. Everything in room worked just fine for it's purpose. Nothing special needed, as rooms were only to sleep in. :)
Perfect for what we needed. We had 4 in each room. Our other rooms was 4567, and they were the only two down it's own little hallway. Midship. Deck 4. Inside. No problems whatsoever. Quiet and we slept just perfect. :)
Embarkation was quick and easy. On board within 20-30 min. :)
Found guide to take us to the Arch for pictures and tour. Quick and easy and not expensive at all :)
Walked the "blue line" they have painted on the streets to give a simple tour of city. Went to Cathedral and market. Simple. No worries.
