Cruised with my husband we are 48 and 51 and live in Florida, my 10th cruise and his 8th, our 5th on NCL. We have also been on Royal, Carnival and Princess. This time we drove over - we live in Indian Shores - about 4.5 hours drive.

Embarkation was a bit disorganized and a very long line when we arrived, but took about 35 minutes overall which isn't bad.

The Escape is beautiful overall and we liked our balcony stateroom. I'm not sure why people say it doesn't have enough storage - I found it plenty for two people both in the bathroom and the outer area. It has usb chargers above each nightstand which is great and more outlets three outlets on the vanity instead of the usual one on the smaller ships. Also liked the single pod coffee rather than the 4 cup pot. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great - roomy, door didn't leak when swung open and great pressure. Our steward did an excellent job.

Port Reviews

Nassau

We've been to Nassau a few times. Once you've seen Atlantis and been to the straw market there's not much else. I have also parasailed there and snorkeled the last two times and both were very nice ... I just usually don't do those activities twice in the same port unless it's outstanding. Stayed on the ship this time and Nassau does photograph beautifully from the ship - one of my photos from the Getaway last year was used in a calendar. The water is just lovely.
