This was my second cruise, first on Norwegian, so I can only compare my experience to Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas.
Left out of Tampa and the experience prior to getting on the ship was excellent! Organized and quick, no long lines. Employees were helpful and knew what they were there to do.
Onboard first stop was Guest Services to get the alcohol Parental Consent form signed for my son who is not 21 yet. Once done, we were directed to the folks set up next to guest services so that we could purchase the Corks & Caps package for him. Now, when I made this reservation we both were supposed to get the UBP free but since he isn't of legal age I was given the UBP and he was given the Soda Package. I called and spoke to customer service THREE times (because I always check consistency on answers I get) and I was told (1) once onboard I could purchase the Corks & Caps for him and (2) they would just "upgrade" his Soda package to the Corks and Caps (since I had already paid gratuity on the free soda package they gave him). Three people with the same answer, great! Umm, not so much. The folks at the beverage package table informed me that he is a minor and was not able to get the Corks and Caps, and their "manager" confirmed this. Of course I had to explain that customer service says yes he can and that we already signed the consent form, blah, blah, blah. Nothing!
Inside cabin, quite small even for two people but we already knew that. I like the shower and that you can actually fit in it (unlike Royal Caribbean's round dome-like showers). Safe was locked and was not able to unlock it. So I got with our cabin attendant, Indro, who is awesome, and someone was at our room within a few hours. I also asked the mini bar/fridge to be cleaned out and he also took care of that quickly. A lot of storage (seemed like more than RC).
Small port - need to expand to accommodate bigger ships like Port Canaveral
Victor Bodden's Fun-n-Sun Tour with Franciso (Victor's brother) was AWESOME!!! Highly recommend.
Port is awful, boring, restaurant service at terminal 1 is awful, do not recommend eating inside the port.
Private, exclusive to cruise ships. AWESOME all inclusive food/drinks for cheaper than what cruise ship excursions offer. Staff is like no other. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will do this again.
Lots of places to shop and eat. Will definitely plan an excursion next time, Cozumel Bar Hop.
