We took this same cruise in early March on the NCL Sun. It was a fantastic time. We couldn't wait to do it again. After this time, we can wait. It was a bad experience on many levels. The onboard entertainment was so, so, and the service was forced. Our stateroon restroom had a fecal odor most of the time, the room steward did try to clean it and it was better breifly, then back to normal stink. The Captain was much more visible and vocal but, that's not important to us, so... It feels to like they are trying to fleece you at every opportunity too, that was the same on the Sun too though. Maybe the reason the cabin was so bad is we wanted to save money and went for the inside cabin, and got stuck on the 4th floor( lowest avaiable) and we were treated accordingly. We actually like the Star better than the Sun as far as the ship goes but the rest of the package took so much away from the experience it just didn't seem as nice. Even the food was kind of blah, lots of selection just not much for flavor. We will definately be looking at other cruise lines for our next cruise.

Horrible! Do not get put in cabin 4001. There is a storage room adjacent to the headboard of the bed in this cabin. If you are trying to watch television in your cabvin and they are moving things in or out forget it you can't hear the tv. But wait, there's more, wait until they start at 4am beating and banging and having phone coversations and you are sleeping soundly. Well forget about it that's over for the night. More than once I left our bed to confront the staff about the noise and they did TRY to keep it down but by the time your that awake and worked you will not go back to sleep! And don't forget the fecal odor in the restroom. The room steward tried to clean the smell away and did, for about ten minutes at a time then it was back to the normal stinky smell.
