This is my 3rd cruise, 2nd on RC, and the first one I've been on with a child. The check-in process was good, the room was clean, and the ship was fully decorated for Christmas. I'll break down everything for you:

Room: Clean. Loved the room attendant (Dennis) - 3628. Window view was great. Standard outside room, so wasn't expecting much. The beds were concave and not super comfy. We did put them together, so that actually helped because they put a mattress cover on top so it wouldn't feel separated. Recommended if you don't mind curling up next to someone. The second day, our bathroom started flooding when we turned on the shower. The sewage started coming out the drain. Horrible smell, which ended up lingering for hours. The maintenance guy came right up and fixed the problem (minus the smell). Overall, we were happy with our room. And it was quiet.

Food: Dinner was excellent in the main dining room. Food was always prepared as asked. Servers were great and always helpful. The kids menu was fantastic. Even some adults at our table wanted to order off of it. The buffet was pretty horrible and don't order anything hot for room service. The hot dogs tasted gross. My 3 year old hot dog lover wouldn't even touch them. The buns were stale. The burger one day was raw in the middle. Salads were good. Pastas ok. Some were not as warm as I would prefer. Ordered toast and sausage for room service one morning. Toast felt like they just pulled it from the fridge (was colder than room temp) and the sausage like it had been sitting there for awhile more. Came on time though. I would recommend eating in the main dining room as much as possible. Also, after a fight about attire on formal night, my 3 yr old ended up in a t-shirt and pants. Everyone was okay with that. No need to purchase a fancy outfit for them unless you want to.
