Right from the moment it started, this cruise was first class all the way. The way the staff, beginning at the airport greeter, all the way through the cruise met and exceeded every expectation we could have had.
Every member of the Viking crew worked hard to make this a great trip. Had the opportunity to meet a lot of new people, eat great food, and see a lot of history with great tour guides. Everything was set up to accommodate the travelers comfort.
The ship was fantastic! Very clean, very professional, and decorated to make it feel as if you were still home for the holiday season. The staterooms were small. But they were designed with very modern features that truly seemed to expand the space. To be honest, we really didn't spend much time in the stateroom anyway, because there was always something of interest to do.
Food was fantastic, and housecleaning made sure your stateroom was always in excellent condition. They were in twice a day, minimum, to make sure everything was in perfect condition. The staff was friendly and worked extremely hard to make sure everyone had a great experience.
The program director, David Parker, was excellent, upbeat, and always made sure you had a good understanding of what was available to you daily. If you missed something, it's because you were not listening.
We also had need of the services of the on-board concierge, Attila, and he went out of his way to make sure that everything was taken care of with no effort on our part. We told him what we needed, and he arranged it.
This was our first trip with Viking, but definitely not our last. Very professional, very accommodating, and well worth the cost.
Thank you Viking for a great tirp!
Cabin was very modern and made fantastic use of the space. This made it seem much larger than it was, even though the size was perfect for this type of trip.
The household staff kept it immaculate and made sure that anything we needed was provided, as well as providing some very nice extras, like chocolates and gingerbread.
