I had a great time on my 1st cruise aboard the Norwegian Escape and cannot wait to go again. The Caribbean waters where great, getting to ride on 2 different Catamarans plus a great snorkeling adventure mixed in with a great time on Jost Van Dyke Island relaxing on the beach. We saw 3 great shows as well and all of them were free.
I think I gained 5 pounds with all the great food, maybe having the Ultimate Dining Package helped as we ate at 7 different Restaurants while on-board, all of them had great service as well as great food, we even had 2 dinners outside on the waterfront with great views. The hot tubs forward where the best as they had a higher temperature, the hot tubs back by the pool area where too cool for my taste. The pool area was kept very clean as well as the pool water, looked like they changed the water everyday.
The casino was much bigger than I expected, played a few games and won some money. We spent some time in a few different bars as well even getting to watch some NFL Football.
Cabin Review
Balcony Stateroom
As soon as we where on board, we headed to our cabin to check it out. First thing I did was lay on the bed, I felt like I had gone to heaven as the bed was so comfortable. Next was to check out the view from our balcony and was not disappointed. We had Richard as our room steward taking care of us, he was very friendly and always greeted us and knew both of our names form day one. He provided us with everything we asked for.
Port Reviews
St. Thomas
Snorkeled after a short catamaran ride, saw a large turtle and sea-ray. There were several different fish that were pretty cool to see. Moved around the corner and back into the water to see the shipwreck below, was a pretty cool sight.
Tortola
Nice beach plus the water is so clear and warm.
