6 days into 7 day cruise up the lower mississippi on the American Queen and very relaxed, full and happy. Started in New Orleans and stayed the Hilton Riverside overnight, very nice and easy to transfer to steamboat. Crew members are so helpful and friendly especially with my Dad. Dad, age 89, toured the engine room since he is a engine person. Mike took him in and explained all about the steam engine and paddle wheel. Also had tour of the galley with chef. Staff were wonderful with wheelchairs, golf carts etc so he could participate in on shore activities. Had Hop on and Hop Off buses to tour on at each city we stopped at and tour guides from the city we were in to give narrations. Made the tours easy and able to select what we wanted to get off and see. Elevators on ship made getting around easy and halls were WIDE. Housekeepiing on ship was excellent. Ivy had room cleaned and bed ready each night.

Wonderful trip up the Mississippi from New Orleans to Memphis on a paddle wheel steamboat. Mark Twain style!
