This was my first river cruise and it was great . I traveled with a friend, this being our annual trip together. We boarded in Budapest. The river cruise is on a flat bottom boat, much smaller in size to the huge ocean liner cruise ships. The passenger load is about 164. The river cruise allows you to get to know the other passengers because you see them all day every day. Almost all of the passengers on our ship were over age 50. Which was great for us no children or babies.

There was one dining room and everyone ate at the same time. Lighter meals or snacks were served in a lounge area. The food was delicious the wait staff was good. However, most meals lasted about 2 hours. My favorite part about the river cruise is that we docked right at the pier, no tender required. The land tours are included in your price so we tried to do all the tours we could that didn't conflict with another one. Entertainment of some sort is nightly but no big fancy shows. I would do another river cruise in the future.

Cabin Review

Outside stateroom with fixed window

Our cabin was on the lowest deck, was very small but very clean. My cabin mate and i could not walk pass each in the room, one would have to wait at one end while the other crossed the room.
