The cruise to Eastern Caribbean on Norwegian Gem was a delightful time. We enjoyed all the shows especially the band "Prism" and their frontman Andy Patron and singer Maricel Suaring. They both were excellent performers and really entertained the passgengers each and every night.

The food was okay but the menu didn't change more often. The cruise director was awesome but some of the staff are not too efficient and some hostesses on dining areas were not friendly enough. One staff in the Art Gallery seemed to be discriminatory in running her activity on the ship. The off-shore excursion staff were not too efficient. They cancelled my offshore excursion but was informed late that made me unable to browse and choose another excursion. Thank God that there were local tours waiting at the port and I was able to join a city tour for so much less than if it were taken on the ship.

One of the assistant Maitre D' Carina in the main dining area was very friendly and took extra effort to make our dining experience great.

Port Reviews

San Juan

The tour was just okay. I felt that we could have seen more.

St. Thomas

It was average. The weather didn't contribute much, it was a little bit cloudy and rainy.

St. Maarten

It is okay. We got to see both the Dutch and French side.

Tortola

It was a good tour considering the price of the tour and hours we were on the road.
