Very nice room in a quiet area.  We could quickly get to the aft stairs and then to our favorite spots on the ship including the pools and the Horizon Court and Horizon Terrace.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

It was thrilling to get up close and personal with the stingrays.

Antigua

A full day of activity which included sightseeing, beach time, a mud bath, a Caribbean buffet lunch and soft drinks, beer and water provided all day.  Herod’s tour was a great value at $85.

St. Lucia

We exited the ship and went to the shuttles that take you into the town for $2.  For only $3 more the shuttle took us directly to the front door of the Boatyard after it had dropped off the other passengers.  At the Boatyard we paid $15 each for a day pass that included a welcome drink, 2 lounge chairs, 1 large umbrella, use of the pristine beach and a shuttle ride back to the cruise port.  We also bought lunch at the bar.  This was a fun day at a very reasonable price.

The shopping area near the port was quite nice.  We also took advantage of the outdoor casino bar with $0.99 local beers.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We had pre-booked with Godfrey Tours for a half-day trip for $35.  At 10 a.m. we met our wonderful tour guide Hajjii.  We told him we were interested in visiting Blackbeard’s Castle, so after he dropped off the others near the Emancipation Garden for shopping he drove us up the hill to the Castle entrance.  We paid $12.50 each which included a trek up the tower of the old castle, a riveting story of Blackbeard by a pirate, viewing 2 historical buildings and then a walk down the 99 steps to the Emancipation Garden.  We felt it was worth the price, but wished we had done the 9 a.m. pickup by Godfrey to allow more time at the castle.  Next Hajjii took the group on an island tour, stopping at a number of photo opportunities.  One stop included a banana daiquiri that was quite yummy and pretty potent.  Along the way we were offered beer, water and sodas.  We had a great time and can highly recommend Godfrey Tours.

Unfortunately rain hampered our fun here.  We didn't stay for the island BBQ.
