Ok, I usually don't post things that are negative but, this had to be the worst embarkation and disembarkation I have ever experienced. We have cruised many times before and this is by far the worst yet. We almost always cruise on NCL.
No one at the cruise terminal knew what they were doing. I don't know if everyone was new or they just didn't know anything. Everyone gave us different information stating there was no priority boarding for suites, etc. Finally, after wandering around, I found someone that did help us. No one seemed to want to do anything extra to help.
We stayed in a family suite on the 12th floor which was very nice. The first night, there were noises above us like furniture was being moved around above us and then loud stomping that would woke me up and then kept me awake. In the morning, I went up to the 13th floor to investigate and discovered there was a crew door above us and also lounge chairs. This noise continued every night during the cruise.
Cabin Review
Family Suite with Balcony
There are only the two of us and this suite is huge! The bed was very comfortable. The only issue was the noise level from above in the middle of the night. The tile in the bathroom needed a little TLC but it was still a very nice cabin.
Port Reviews
Cozumel
We snorkeled 2 reefs and then went to a beach where we had lunch and unlimited drinks. Our dive master, Carlos was great! One of the best snorkel trips we have ever been on.
Roatan
We enjoyed this island. There is a nice place to snorkel (but it did cost extra). Nice island to walk around on and see all the rescue animals. Lunch was pretty good also.
Belize City
We did the tour that included the Mayan ruins Altun Ha. We have been to other ruins before in Mexico. The Bacab jungle park provided a very good buffet. The pool that was there was also very nice. There had bee a lot of rain so the area to walk about was under water so it was limited on what you could do.
Costa Maya
We did the tour with Carlos, This was so much fun. We have done segway tours before so knew what to expect. Since we were the only tour of the day, we were able to ride the segways back to where we started instead of taking a pre paid taxi. This was an extra treat!
