I got to the pier by Public transport , left early to get there early and to cover any possible delay the public transport could have thrown at me , none, I had lunch at a cafe near there and looked at her and how huge she was. at about 12.50 I decided to line up , my check in was meant to be 1.30 but as i felt that by the time i got to the front it would be that time I didn't see any wrong in lining up at the time i did.
it moved nicely , i got to where the truck was for bag pick up and a few of us got told if you don't mind and can do so walk to the next pick up point you are most welcome to do so , so a few of us did just that .
Got to the bag pick up point [where people get dropped off in taxi's etc ] and handed my bags over and up i went .
clean and spacious [ I was travelling along , even if I had a friend with me there was plenty of room] lots of wardrobe space , shower and toilet there was enough room , the balcony was awesome . i fell asleep to the rolling [not much] and rocking of the ship , loved that . I Didn't hear much noise at all deck 10 was an awesome deck , when they anchored yeah can hear that but that's a good wake up alarm when you need to be up early . i was awake earlier than that anyway somehow you would hear the odd water, wave noise but not much you may hear a little bit of wind but not that bad either . I didn't mind the walk to breakfast or dinner , as that was part of my exercise each day.
found it to be good had no troubles when getting on get there early enough allowing for traffic etc , you can go to the next bag drop off you do not have to drop it off just at the gate
loved it the bush is a beautiful place and seeing the black sands and the views from the mountain and the tree's and fauna and flora of New Zealand was great
was a great cruise we did see some Hector dolphins and seals and penguins as well as other birds loved it
