This cruise consisted of 8 people. Myself (29), DH (32), my parents (both 55) and my in laws (59 and 69) and friend and his GF (31 and 32). My 10th cruise and 2nd on NCL. DH's 4th cruise and second on NCL. This was the first ever cruise out of Port Canaveral for NCL and the first cruise out of the states as the ship has been over seas for a couple of years. We parked at Park Port Canaveral for a great price but the shuttles which are supposed to be running every 10-15 minutes ran once and hour. The port was a cluster and the lines were LONG. This will work itself out over time though as NCL gets more comfortable there. Next time we will drop the bags at the port ahed of time, go park and take a cab or uber to the port.

The ship itself is beautiful and the perfect size for us. Our room was a large window room on deck six that was great. Love that the toilet has its own separate room. The down side.. There is not 1 plug in the room that you can plug a blow dryer into. You are forced to use theirs which is fine unless you have as much hair as I do. It took over an hour and I would have to stop because it gets so hot you can't hold it.

Food. Breakfast buffet is great and some things would change on a daily basis. The dining room breakfast was excellent but had extremely slow service. BBQ by the pool on sea days was awesome and convenient but was cancelled a couple times because of the rough seas. The buffet has plenty to offer. We had dinner in Gardens 4 times and never once was I really happy with the food and I'm not that picky. Very weird pairings. The service was not good at all but we did have great service from our bar waiter Sannat (spelling?). Dinner would take 3 hours whether it was 4 or 8 of us. They ran out of lasagne one night and 3 people at our table had ordered it but no one came to tell us so after sitting there for an hour we finally had to ask about our food. What happened to the amazing personal service with smiling and communication? One night our server didn't even introduce herself to us. Blue Lagoon had 24 hour food. The chicken tenders were good. Wings really good and the cheesecake was excellent. They have different flavored cookies every day that are hard as a rock and not edible. Room service is $9. Wow.
