Sail Date: Oct 2015

We flew to Singapore as a family of 3 and spent 3 nights at Peninsula excelsior hotel. Had full 3 days of touring Singapore before embarking cruise on 22nd October. Security, check-in and immigration at Singapore cruise terminal was a chaos. As there were 2 Royal Caribbean ships due to leave that day, it seemed the whole cruise terminal was flooded with people not knowing where to go with no proper instructions being given. Anyway, after nearly 2 hours of queuing up, we finally made it to this beautiful, elegant ship.

As we had sailed on this ship before to Mexico, we kind of knew the lay out of the ship. However the ship seemed to have had a make over and looked amazing despite its age. As we were sailing in Asia, it seems to have an Asian theme going through the ship which made it look different from other ships in its class. I for one loved the decor.

We had balcony cabins near the centre of the ship. The rooms were well appointed and didn't seem any signs of aging. There was plenty of storage and the baggage arrived very soon after. We went straight for lunch to windjammers and were surprised to see there was so much seating available as remembered struggling to find seats in voyager and explorer of the seas. We thought it may be a problem to find seats later on in the cruise but to our surprise this never happened and managed to find a table daily for breakfast and lunch. The food was very good and had plenty of vegetarian choice too. They had a seperate Indian vegetarian section as well. Loved eating here daily. Also, as we were all inclusive we managed to get beer and wine served or directly from the bar without any problems. There were no availability issues of any type of beer or wine as reported in some reviews.
