All we have to say is a huge OMG for our Thanksgiving cruise! This is the second time on the Pearl, and yes, she's in need of a few touch-ups here & there but ... we love her & the crew! Although we've traveled extensively thru the Carribean - these were all new & exciting ports for us - Columbia, Panama Canal, Coata Rica, Honduras, Belize & Costa Maya - with NCL excursions in each.

We flew in early & stayed in South Beach - great for just relaxing & roaming around to destress! We had secured cabin 9502 (forward suite) so we were welcomed with Priority boarding & lunch at Cagney's while waiting for our luggage! As always, the service was amazing & we were greeted with smiling faces - due to some mechanical situations & a emergency removed by ambulance (sad) - we departed Miami late but we had 2 wonderful & smooth days of sea & sun! We enjoyed our wine package & dining package (although we bought a 6 night package - we should have bought the 5 night package & just relaxed our dining in one night).

All the ports were safe & very clean. WiFi wasn't readily available (unlike Greece) - but we were able to buy 1 hour for $5 in Honduras - we didn't search much in bars or restaurants - enjoying excursions & scenery was more important to us.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SE

We love the Penthouse suites & yes, 9502 has a king bed. Although the Owners Suite has 2 bathrooms & more space - this location was perfect for us. At times it was a bit windy for being on our massive forward deck - but then we just went out to the pool area. Our steward was probably the best we've had on any cruise & we hope to see him on the next!

I always do a bit of rearranging the furniture (tables & chairs) to fit our needs ... and I do love having a spot to sit while fixing my hair. The bathroom has plenty of space and what's more important... there is LOADS of drawer space & cubby holes for your things (important for a long cruise). We requested the refrige be cleaned out on the first day so we could store wine, water & lemons ... plus some of the extra fruit that was delivered. We do not use the mini bar supplies anyway - so having our own refrige is great!

Port Reviews

Miami

We stayed at the Room Mate Waldorf on South Beach - cabbing from MIA to hotel & port & back to hotel. It's a great location & nice clean property! They offer beach chairs & towels at n/c and you can just walk across the street to the beach. We found a great deal at hotel.com for our stay.
