We are Florida residents drove to Ft. Lauderdale and parked at Park & Go , which is excellent. Pulled into park & Go, transferred our luggage to van, and just two of us off to Serenade. We are Diamond and arrived at 1030 and boarding started about 1100 am. Went to Windjammer at 1130, normal buffet fare, then walked around ship, and sat in Diamond lounge, enjoying view, as rooms not ready until 200pm.
Our cabin, a D1 on deck nine, was in very good condition. No signs of wear, and very clean. A couple spots of rust on overhead, which can always be expected. Cabin attendant Martha, proved to be excellent the entire cruise.
The ship overall was probably one of the cleanest, and well kept of any of this age and class we have sailed on.The crew was friendly, and made for a very enjoyable experience. We have been to most all of the Caribbean Islands except Tortola, and Antigua so decided to take 2 Royal excursions.
Cabin was excellent. no overhead, or any other noise. Might advise if you choose a cabin near the atrium, be prepared for loud music each night until 1045 to 1115pm. They had so many complaints, they shut the fire door each night, but as you walked down hallway you could hear it and fell vibrations for first four or five cabins./ We were on deck nine and in rear had no problem at all.
