We arrived at the International Passenger Terminal a bit nervous as reviews we had read advised boarding was a nightmare. Checkin of our luggage took 30 seconds. Then we proceeded to the passenger checkin. All up it took about 45 minutes. It was great and this timeframe did not seem unreasonable to us at all.

Firstly we checked out our Stateroom which was an internal one overlooking the Promenade. It was great. Room was a good size, bathroom was fine and there was enough cupboard space, there are plenty of drawers and room to put your bags under the bed. We then walked around the ship and it was beautiful. The pool area was great with two pools and 3 hot tubs for everyone to use, plenty of deck chairs, a huge outdoor movie screen. There is also an adults only pool area and bar which was wonderful for those travelling without kids. it also had two very large hot tubs and a pool and lots of lovely padded deck chairs.

We chose the formal dining option which seated at 8pm and it was great. This gave us plenty of time to see a show before dinner. More on the food later.

Cabin Review

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

We loved our cabin, it was comfortable and the bed was great. Plenty of cupboard space and drawers and you can put your bags under the bed. Bathroom was fine, squeezy but fine. Ours overlooked the Promenade and some people complained about noise but we did not hear a thing. We have never slept so well.

Port Reviews

Auckland

We did the hop on hop off bus and spent time at the Museum and then walked through the city. It was great

Noumea

We did another hop on hop off tour which was good however buses did not come every 20 minutes as we were advised. The markets were lovely and Lemon Beach was beautiful. Noumea is very expensive but pretty

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

We just walked as it was so pretty, lovely snorkelling but only one public toilet.

Mystery Island

Absolutely perfect, great snorkelling and so pretty. Local markets were cute and not expensive at all.
