  3. Carnival Conquest
Our first experience with Carnival and probably our last, and not because of the vessel, crew or cuisine. More about that below. Purchasing and pre-purchasing items/excursions on line was great. Check in and boarding was a breeze. The Crew was professional, courteous and helpful. Never saw the Captain, heard him over the intercom twice. Never saw any senior offices other than the fantastically fun Wee Jimmy, the cruise director. His staff were great! The itinerary was good and moving from ship to shore and back was efficient. However during the sea days there wasn't near enough variety of activities, unless you were a child, heavy drinker or gambler. An empty theatre that could've had movies or other offerings besides a bingo game or retail commerce offerings. My overall impression (based upon the majority of the Passengers aboard) was that I was in a Walmart that allowed drinking, smoking and gambling for a predominately obese crowd with little decorum. Whilst the days of formal dress up for evening dining are gone, at least collared shirts and long pants and shoes (not flip-flop sandals ) should be the a minimum standard in the restaurants (buffets excepted). So we will cruise again but on a bit more upscale line and ships

Fantastic, Friendly crew! However...
