We enjoyed the cruise and we had superb weather for fourteen days, but we were disappointed on the condition of the ship as this was our fourth cruise on Ventura. Although seven years old it needs a complete refurbishment, the carpets, especially in the cabins are badly stained and in many public areas, also the decor and soft furnishings are very dated. Towels and sheets well used. Beware of the shuttle bus charges £4.00 each way per passenger if not on select pricing which can add up to a considerable amount of money. The day time entertainment was very repetitive and unimaginative, the evening entertainment was not much better if you were lucky enough to get a seat in the theatre unless you went a good thirty minutes before the performance started.
The special dietary menu Is excellent in my opinion.
The drinks are reasonably priced.

Outside Twin with Balcony and Shower
The steward kept the cabin very clean. The carpet was marked and needed cleaning. The curtains depressing and dated. Bed linen and towels well used, not up to the standard we expect from the company.

If you want to spend time on a beautiful beach with good shopping facilities take the local bus €1.70 each way to Puerto del Carmen. The bus leaves the bus station every twenty minutes. It is a lovely journey. It took me about twenty minutes to walk from the ship to the bus station.
