We arrived at Southampton in pouring rain, and quickly parked in the Blue Badge parking area. embarkation was very efficient and we received assistance to get on board. this was our 23rd cruise and the first on Eclipse. The stateroom was large and the bathroom had excellent shower with flexible shower head as well as an overhead one.The bathroom had grab rails which enabled easy transfer from toilet to shower. The toilets around the ship however caused us an embarking problem, as all disabled toilets were in ladies or gents with no unisex individual toilets. My friend has short hair and we were told "you cannot take him in here" and the lady tried to block us using toilet , after I explained that Ann was a lady she still tried to prevent her using toilet, this made us reluctant to use any toilets forcing a long walk back to the stateroom every time. The Entertainment was excellent and we always ate in Ocean View Resturant as this was easier for us. We went on one excursion to Loro Park and the front seat of coach was reserved with our cabin number. There were no accesable tours but at some ports there was accessible shuttles. Disembarking was very swift, we were off the ship 30minuites early! Overall an excellent wheelchair friendly ship, despite the attitude of a few of the passengers. Also I must mention that all doors to cabin and around the ship were electric making life much easier.

Cabin Review

Cabin C102
Very large plenty of room for wheelchair. Good T V with interactive services like checking your account and watching videos. There was a kettle and coffee also a fridge.

Bathroom already described was excellent with plenty of room to man over wheelchair.
