We'll start with the premise that while every word of this missive is true...accurate...not vituperative...and/or personal, we suspect, fully suspect...that the true assessment of our cruise will either fall o deaf ears or just be dismissed out of hand. To WIT:
The "decibels" of most of the music (entertainment) was ear shattering. Just unpleasantly loud & hence ruined the atmosphere. when a person must compete with the music to chat to their partner, it is no longer "music." and....we're simply talking about a innocuous chat; not a "socratic exchange" of a discourse that solves the world's problems. it is, instead,...noise. But...to be fair & balanced, my wife and i "did enjoy the string quartet. The members of the string quartet played their music in a manner that demonstrated a decorum fit for "easy" & enjoyable music; not caustic, acidic & befit for a teenage rock concert.
The "culinary" delights so prominently displayed on the ship's advertisements were a long way from the actual food and/or the declared presentation. Parenthetically, a buffet is a buffet by any other name. however, as strange of a dichotomy as it may seem, the culinary staff on the regal princess has for it's greatest achievement a portion of prosciutto ham. What a disappointment! Think about it...the "best" they had to offer was a plate of sliced prosciutto ham!!!!!
