This was my first cruise on NCL. Check in went well. We were checking in around 11:30am. They were well staffed so check in didn't take long. Once on board it didn't take long to get a feel how to navigate the ship. We went to the restaurant for lunch as opposed to the buffet. The food and service was fine. Our cabin was ready after 1pm. We had a balcony cabin. It was clean but needed some work. Furniture and fresh carpet. The luggage was delivered before we set sail. Shortly prior to sailing they had a buffet on the pool deck. I thought that was a great idea. I'd never seen that done. This was the first time I experienced the free style dinning. The service was good. The food was a little above average. I guess I was expecting the food to be outstanding. We didn't attend any of the shows. The casino was good and offered all of the usual games. You are allowed to smoke so it may bother some people.

Getting off the ship in Nassau was a breeze. I didn't take any excursions. I opted to take a cab to the Atlantis. The cost was reasonable at $4.00 pp. Back on board I found the service at the pool bar to be lacking. There didn't seem to be enough bar tenders. And when there were they seemed disorganized. People walking around taking drink orders was spotty. We dined in the French restaurant (a additional cost). The food and service was very good. This is how it should have been at all of the restaurants. I saw our cabin steward the night we set sail and the morning we got of the ship. Getting off carrying our luggage went well. It didn't take to long.
