Sail Date: Dec 2010

We have been on many ocean cruises, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Alaskan, but this River cruise was the best one to date. Viking is so organized and took care of all details so we had to worry about nothing. The hotel in Budapest (Le Meridien Budapest) was in a great location and beautiful and the hotel in Prague (Prague Sheraton Charles Square) was nice but nothing special. We were actually on 2 ships, Thor and Var, because of low river levels. The transfer of ships was done seamlessly for all of the passengers.

All aspects of this trip from the food, to the service, to the shore excursions were beyond expectations. Our room was so nice with plenty of storage and we loved having a refrigerator and balcony in the room.

The crew handled disembarkation so well that we felt as though we were the only people there. Being taken to the airport in Prague and met by a Viking representative and walked all the way through to the security line was way more than we hoped for.
