We normally cruise with princess or royal. We decided to try HAL because of the great price. Everyone brags on HAL service and food.
The stateroom and common areas are very dated and worn. The cabin itself has some good points though. We had cabin 4044. The balcony was huge and lots of storage. The bathroom came with a roomier tub/shower combination. The room stewards were wonderful. Overall service was very good and comparable to royal and princess.
The Lido buffet needed more healthy options. I liked the fact that the crew served the food rather than being self service.
