We went on the DCL cruise and left Port Canaveral on 11/09/2015. The embarkation was easy and was surprised that our rooms were ready at 1:30. Shortly after finding our room our luggage was delivered. I'm used to not being able to get to the room until after 3:00 and not having the luggage delivered until a little after dinner, so that was a plus to me.

We went to dinner where we were introduced to our wait staff, Ondrey and Ratree. We also met Selo who was the manger for the wait staff. I can honestly say that the wait staff in the cruises that I have been on can make or break a cruise. This team was the absolute best that I have ever had. Understand that I have only been on 4 cruises, including this one, but they have set the bar very high for all that come after. Ondrey took our orders and delivered our food promptly, but took it to another level by performing "magic" for the kids. It started with something that an uncle would do, by the end of the cruise he had me in awe and trying to figure out exactly how he was doing the tricks. Finally Selo declared our family a Magical Family. The entertainment was amazing and absolutely do not miss the Villains Tonight and Pirate night show.

Now I'm going to go into the things that brought this to the very good category. These are things that I think the company should know about.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 05D

The room was a little cramped for my liking. The bed was amazing and never had a bad night sleep. Nice having two bathrooms but again they were both a little cramped. Maybe if I lose a few pounds they would seem bigger so that's not really on them. The cabin steward did a great job keeping the room neat and tidy and the kids loved the towel animals.

Port Reviews

Castaway Cay

Just received snorkeling equipment. Not a lot to see.

Castaway Cay

Worth every penny. Almost makes me wish I would have done the dolphin encounter if it was like this.

Nassau

My wife and kids did the Dolphin Encounter. They all said it was incredible.

Nassau

The water tour was way better than the island tour. I'm guessing the locals don't like it when you tell them "I don't want all that, just give me what I selected."
