The food on this ship was the strangest I have experienced. Nothing was truly awful, but nothing was better than good, odd combinations. Disappointing. Also, in the 24 hr hamburger bar we could see them cooking and were shocked to see them come in with Lobster shells and give them a quick dip in the deep fryer. One of our family has a shellfish allergy and there is no way to know that that happens if we hadn't seen it.The paid restaurants were full the last week which would imply that others had had the same experience we did in the dining rooms.
I have never been told "No" so many times on a cruise. It seemed there were more than the usual rules and some were strange. For example: If you were a party of more than 2 in the dining room you could not sit by a window, even for breakfast. So, in 12 days we never had a window seat in any dining room.
We were looking for a way to see the most sights with our 3 children. It was a great way to meet that objective. My youngest (9yrs.) despised the "Day care" as he called it, adults are not allowed to see what goes on in there, which concerned me. Our 14 year old, however, enjoyed his age group, it was a laid back set up. This was the first cruise for the children and they were delighted by it, and the concept. They would like to cruise again. We will pay more attention to reviews for our next cruise, though the itinerary for this one was fabulous and the reason we selected this one.
The cabin was plain and felt tired. The room steward was, of course very attentive and personable. The layout seemed to be less organized with less storage space than other ships we have been on.
So much to see and experience! Lots of walking. Good food. Love the water Taxi's and Vaporeto. Would love to go back.
Ephesus is a MUST. You can imagine the city in its glory. Our tour guide was a delight. She let us take it in our own time. Wish we had saved more time for Sirince All of the family loved the authentic meal we were served on the tour.
Beautiful. Inspiring. Guide was a little long winded and seemed to be stalling at this venue. Not sure why but he didn't seem to want us to spend time in the Bazaar. Amazing city and an incredible rooftop meal.
The tour guide had his own plan and didn't seem to want us to spend any time in the market which was a highlight for us. What we saw was fascinating. Waterway is alive with traffic. So glad we were able to visit this vibrant city.
Amazing history, beautiful building. Enjoyed seeing how it had evolved.
Wonderful to see, but so crowded. The beach was sunbeds from shore to road. No room to enjoy it. Had one of the best meals in town here. Delighted with Greek food and coffee! A real treat and nice break from the so-so food on the ship.
