I loved the size and layout of the Valor. It was very easy to navigate. Decor was lovely, actually quite beautiful, but a little dark, (color scheme and wood), for my tastes. Cruise director and staff were very visible and friendly. Food in the dining room was very good for dinners and sea day brunches. Service was fabulous. We did anytime dining, with a party of 6 and never had to wait more then 5 minutes. I am not a buffet person, but people I traveled with, who ate it, were not impressed. I ate omelettes, made at the outside grill for breakfast and they were great. Each day for lunch I ate at one of the grills. Burgers, pizza and deli were very good. The day I chose to eat the made to order stir fry, I waited in line for 30 minutes. Tasted good, but not worth the wait. All the evening shows were very entertaining and I thought they had a great variety of entertainment. Did not enjoy several of the comedians, but they weren't awful. I just did not get their humor. Room Stewart took excellent care of us and casino staff was great. I really only had two negatives and trust me it did not impact me having a great time. 1). Some of the decor could use some updating as it was worn, however it was clean. The ship was spotless. 2) in Mahogany Bay, walking over the bridge to the beach, the water was full of garbage. It was a sight and this needs to be cleaned up. I asked about it and was told by a carnival employee that it floats in from a neighboring country. (I think he made that up, but regardless some nets could easily clean it up). I am a seasoned cruiser and have been on many other lines, Royal Carribbean, Princess and Celebrity), and this ship held its own. I had heard so many negative things about Carnival, my expectations were not high. Everything about the ship and staff, far exceeded my expectations.

We were invited on this ship by the casino. They provided an inside cabin. I usually get a balcony. I hated not being able to see out, but slept great because it was so dark. Cabin was small but in a great location. Our service was impeccable.
