This was our first cruise and we were naturally a little apprehensive about how we would cope with such a long time on board. Our fears were allayed considerably by the friendliness, courtesy and efficiency of the staff. The ship was immaculate at all times and the hard work put in by the crew was unobtrusive. The accommodation was most acceptable. The food interesting and tasty as well as being abundant and pleasing to the eye. The quality of the entertainment was outstanding and well orchestrated by the very professional cruise director and his team. It was difficult to make choices about what to participate in from the diverse selection provided. Although embarkation and disembarkation were a little irritating for the long waiting sessions, it is appreciated that a large number of passengers have to be handled and the processes were fairly well handled and organisation evident. All in all, this was a very positive experience and one that we would like to repeat.
Spotlessly clean and spacious with adequate cupboarding and mirrors. Bed very comfortable. Shower a little cramped but served its basic purpose. Daily service was very good and discreet. Regular supply of dry towels was much appreciated.
Tour guide was very good - charming, informative and had a good sense of humour. Loved the buildings, the history and experiencing the fish market and plazas. Happened to arrive at the Town Hall on "wedding" day - colourful and a nice vibe. Would love to go back and explore some more!View All 17 Cadiz Walking Tour Reviews
Took a long walk along the sea front promenade as far as the Aqua Centre. It was good to really stretch one's legs on land for a while. Sat on benches now and again to simply watch locals on the beach or to relax and eat a snack. Went into museums - the one on the promontory displaying costumes and customs of the area - and was particularly delighted to discover the dolphin display behind the building with the green doors. Enjoyed wandering around. Felt a little torn as the excursions offered were tempting, but ended up having a very satisfying day.
Bussed to Mosta - cathedral very impressive, visited glassworks and, although the group was big, managed to view the glassblowing operation. There seemed to be very little time for those wanting to complete their purchasing transactions before the bus had to move on. There was a very quick look at Rabat, but Mdina proved to be a treasure. The guided portion through the town was all too short , followed by an independent fairly leisurely amble back to the bus. The public area outside the walls is quite entrancing with the horse carriages waiting for passengers. The pride of the guide to be Maltese and in the achievements of the islanders in the last half century was noteworthy. A Most enjoyable experience.View All 46 Mdina Walking Tour Reviews

Walked the ship out of the port along the sea front past the old harbour to view the castle. The open air cafes were busy and vibrant. Wandered through the streets of the old town. Pleasant.
Transport arrangements from port to Old City very efficient. Old city very picturesque. Tour proceeded fairly quickly and guide did not always wait for backmarkers to catch up with the group, so could only be heard by those right next to her. Inadequate time to take photos where allowed. Interesting to visit cultural museum. General atmosphere in Old City steeped in history. Very interesting.View All 77 Walking Tour Reviews
