Norwegian Sky Oct 19-23 2015 I had purposely booked a room with a balcony since we would be having 3 adults and 1 child and wanted a little more space. I was shocked to arrive to find that we actually had a suite and with that a butler and concierge. Daily we were given extra in room treats, and even got a VIP tour of the ships command deck (which our son loved!) including letting our son sit in the driver's seat. The ship didn't have a lot of the new things like water slides, bowling alley, or theaters but was still entertaining since the majority of our cruise was beach time anyhow. We were treated like we were royalty and since it was our son's 6th birthday all the staff went out of their way to make him feel special and spoil him. We were also surprised to learn we not only had 2 unlimited drink packages but we had 4 ultimate dinning packages that we didn't realize until just a few weeks prior to sailing. It really made the cruise experience that much better. Another icing on the cake was getting to eat breakfast and lunch daily in the steak house as suite guests. It really ruined cruising any other way than as a suite guest because it was beyond our expectations. We did have a rough day at sea night one - but no one in our group got sick from it and actually it was kind of fun! We didn't use the children's club as it was a celebration for our son and wanted to spend the time with him. The ports felt safe and we had no problem finding shore excursions and even walked to beaches on our own. We didn't get to experience the Norwegian private island due to high swells and were very disappointed to find the pool decks very overcrowded and no chairs. HOWEVER we just retreated to our deck on our balcony which was more than accommodating for 3 adults to lay out. So we ended up getting our sun time regardless of the crowded pool decks.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony
Cabin SF 9202
We really had no issues with our cabin and found the size larger than anticipated. I did expect the larger bed to be in a room by itself and the twin beds in the more common area (it was the opposite) so that did make it hard in the morning to not wake my spouse but he lived.
