We were disappointed in the lack of 'class' this cruise provided. "Free-style" shouldn't mean lacking in ANY style. Overall, it just appears that the ship is older and tired looking with a small shopping area and less than average tasting food. Only the specialty restaurants had flavor and good choices. Surprisingly, even the desserts lacked creativity and decadence you would expect.

We were unable to go to our cabin for a number of hours one evening when there was a fire in the aft section of the boat. While there were numerous announcements, we were never given specific details of what had occurred and what had been the cause. There was also no compensation offered for the inconvenience.

Sold as large enough to house 3-4 adults, our balcony cabin should have been limited to only 2. The very firm futon style couch was not comfortable to sit on for any length of time and when extended into the 3rd bed, the center cushion was higher than the head and foot section making it extremely uncomfortable. Fortunately, the steward used extra sheets to build up the head section and retrieved a piece of foam to help as well. Regardless, there was no way this was large enough for 2 adults.

NCL charged almost twice as much as it would have cost to buy the ticket directly from vendor.
