My wife and I just returned from a 13 night repositioning cruise onboard the Brilliance of the Seas. We had a nice time, as usual. This was our Third Cruise on board the Brilliance.

We don't have any Major complaints. We always get good service from the crew and we enjoy Royal Caribbean. The ship is just the right size and well maintained.

THE FOOD: The food in the Windjammer seemed about the same as always. They're always big on rice and pasta dishes and meals that can stretch to feed lots of people easily. The meals tend to be repetitive. The breakfasts are good, despite the fact that they are identical every single morning. There's only so much you can do with a buffet breakfast. For lunch I sometimes would just grab a Hamburger and a salad. The Dinners used a lot of rice and curry dishes that I just don't do. The fish was OK and there was normally a carving station. Phillipe and his staff do a nice job of making sure the place stays clean and the waiters fairly attentive. The Chef in charge of the Windjammer operation was very visible and he personally came around the last night and handed out Chocolate covered strawberries. The only time we experienced a line at the Windjammer was on Boarding Day in Boston when everyone was waiting for their staterooms to be ready and the whole world showed up at once.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

Nice enough room. Didn't really need the balcony this trip. Standard RCI Stateroom.

Port Reviews

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We had lunch in a little restaurant at the pier but did not go into town.

St. Lucia

We shopped in pier area.

Barbados

We had been around Barbados before, so we didn't go out.

Aruba

Nice island with nice people. We rode around on the city bus and did a little shopping.

Curacao

The weather turned rainy while we were on the pier. We spent the day on the ship.

Boston

We did not do any excursions in Boston. The Cruise terminal there is older but usable.
