About 10 years ago we cruised on the NCL Sun and were very underwhelmed. Because of the itinerary and price we decided to give NCL another try. We were pleasantly surprised the crew, food, service etc all exceeded out expectations. The embarkation worked fine because we were Latitudes members. The ship is in good shape with no obvious wear and tare. I liked that the carpet had the fish in it pointing forward toward the bow, so we could orient ourselves. The food at aqua was superior, and the three specialty restaurants were excellent. We liked the French one the best but they were all very good. Crew were very friendly and courteous. I don't know how they can keep giving the free booze package but it was very good. No problem getting a drink anywhere on board except the mojito bar. They did cancel our scuba tour in Belize at the last minute due to lack of participation which was disappointing, but other than that everything worked very well. We have been Royal Caribbean people but with the new promotions NCL is doing it would be hard to not go with them.
