Sail Date: Oct 2015
Cabin:
MS Lofoten
MS Lofoten Dawn at Kirkenes

The MS Lofoten is now 50 years old and maintains a small hotel feel, with none of the trappings of a large cruise ship. The passengers are a mix of singles and couples doing either the northbound trip, southbound trip and circular trip from Bergen to Kirkenes to Bergen.

Staff on board are very friendly and the food is amazing. However if you are not adventurous with your food then try a larger ship as this has a set dinner menu (all fantastic quality).

As a smaller ship, this doesn't have stabilsers so again if you are prone to sea sickness then go on a larger ship. It was not a big problem on our trip.

Cabin Review

Cabin standard

The cabins are basic but have all the facilities you need

Port Reviews

Alesund

A walk around town at dusk. A safe and delightful ramble through the town, next to the ships berth
