Celebrity Infinity Cruise Review by xnycop
- Sail Date: October 2015
- Destination: Western Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Sky Suite 1
The outside areas were a mess. the sports deck was completely closed for construction. outside decks were wet and slippery all day. carpeting was worn. we had five separate maintenance problems in our suite. the iced top of the martini bar was constantly de-frosted.
The food was awful. dishes were randomly named and bore no resemblance to what they were being called. as an example their "veal picatta" did not have capers nor lemon. it came with tomato sauce and cheese. meatballs in the tuscan grill were served ice cold. very dangerous in terms of bacteria and viruses and really not palatable. they could never get protein cooked to the right temperature. it was served either raw or overcooked.
The oceanview cafe tables were stacked with dirty dishes. no bussers in site for long periods. food was terrible. at the carving stations the pork roast was incinerated while the beef roast was raw. i don't mean rare, i love rare, i mean raw. they were constantly 86 on some items.
The servers were great, but i felt very sorry for them to the point that i just didn't bother sending anything back after the first couple of days. i just picked at the stuff that was edible. pretty much ate bread, salad and vegetables.
We have been on about 20 celebrity cruises and even have another one booked for next year. we feel and hope that this infinity mess was just an aberration and that celebrity will again become a quality cruise line, but if our next celebrity cruise is anything like this one, they will have seen the last of us.
What this cruise line needs to do is send their executives aboard undercover to discover what is really going on.
Right now, they strut around like royalty and are treated much better than paying passengers by the officers and managers.
This is the perfect way for them to learn nothing as well as distracting the crew from taking care of paying passengers!!!
Have them get down and dirty with the real folks and things would probably get much better in a hurry!!!

Costa MayaGreat if you want to see ruins. Port restaurants are OK, but VERY expensive. $15 for a hot dog. $6 for a beer. $16 for a rum punch.View All 2,553 Costa Maya Cruise Port Reviews
