First off, I want to mention that I did speak to guest services during and after the cruise regarding our unsatisfactory experience. They were apologetic and asked that we give RC another chance, but did absolutely nothing else. No discount or refund. My husband and I chose Royal Caribbean because it is supposed to be the best. I have been on other cruises and this cruise was for our 1st Anniversary. Needless to say, this will be my last and only with RC.

That said, the first day we quickly realized that only one hot tub was working. The other three whirlpools were down for cleaning, which I would assume should be taken care of before embarkation. As for the cuisine, I was prepared to see different cuisine that I would not usually find in mainland Ohio. Yet, none of the menus advertised had an array of seafood, let alone what someone could consider exotic or specific to the Caribbean. Also, I am a coffee person. I don’t require specialty drinks or specifics, just fresh coffee. To my dismay, even the Starbucks onboard was nothing like any Starbucks I have tasted. The grounds had clearly been around for a while. Also, the coffee served in the dining areas was nothing to brag about either.

On the 5th deck, there was an obvious stench of sewage right beside the guest services desk. Many of the passengers were complaining and when it was brought up to the staff, the staff acted as if they had not noticed. That smell resided there for most of the voyage.

Cabin Review

Panoramic Ocean View Stateroom

Clean, staff did not respect the do not disturb sign, large window, room itself was not as big as equivalent staterooms of cruises I've been on in the past

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Embarkation was relatively painless. Short line.

Nassau

Picturesque! Clear, clean waters. White sands. Not crowded. Quiet. Hammocks under palm trees. Absolutely wonderful.
