Myself and a 4 other friends went on this cruise. I have taken numerous trips and have always done the all inclusive resorts, but my friends wanted to do a cruise and I thought it sounded like it would be a fun time. The cruise was from Galveston with stops in Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel. This was my first cruise so maybe my experience is how all cruises are and if so then I am puzzled as to why people still go on them. There were both good and bad aspects that I want to mention. The ship was clean and nice which I expected. The food was very good with lots of choices.

The first couple of days, the service at the bars/restaurants was very good and then it was like the staff could care less. The Red Frog bar is a fun place, but getting waited on was a challenge. We ate at The Northern Lights dining every evening. The first night we had awesome service. So good that we put in a request to have the same table for all our meals. The 3rd night the waiters were more interested in the table behind us that was full of loud drunken slutty dressed women. We requested a different table the next night and the service was a bit better. The drink card (Cheers card) is a total scam. Nobody seemed to know how it worked. When I bought it I was told it covered 15 drinks and after that I could buy at a discount price. That's not how it worked at all. After 15 drinks they shut you off and you can't buy any more, but if you just use 14 on the cheers card you can continue to buy drinks at regular cost. Don't buy the drink card!!

We booked the Mayan Princess Resort excursion through Carnival for our stop in Honduras. What a joke of a place. What was described was a short ride to a beautiful resort truly was a 45 min ride in a mini bus packed full of people to the arm pit of hell. Once we get to the resort the representative had us all stand around her so she could tell us about the resort, how they marked off the beach so the vendors selling their priceless crap couldn't get to us, blah blah blah for 30 min. We finally get to go to the beach area and there were 30 vendors on us like we were giving away trips to the moon. The buffet lunch was not fit for my dog. Do not ever book this overpriced excursion. Save your money!

The cabin was nice. My refrigerator was stocked fine, but didn't have any diet pop, only regular pop. On the 5th day I asked the housekeeper if he could put some diet pop in my fridge and he put 2 cans in and I was charged for those like it was extra. I drank one of the pops and then they locked the cabinet the last night so I couldn't get the other diet pop that I had paid for and was saving back so I would have a cold pop to take with me while I was waiting to get off the ship. Had I known they were going to lock it up like I was going to steal the crappy beer and whatever else they stocked it with I would have emptied the thing and thrown all the beverages overboard. I'm still trying to figure out what my $1,600 cruise ticket actually covered?? I guess a bed and a shower.
