This was our fourth trip with Viking and it lived up to our previous experiences. Torgil was a beautiful, modern ship and we were lucky to have a suite (212), which spoiled us: we also took two other cruises in France (Seine and Soane/Rhone) in regular cabins - what a difference! River of Gold was just delightful in every way, but always the warmth and genuine caring of the entire staff is remarkable and sets the atmosphere, giving us the right frame of mind for getting the most out of the adventure. One hesitates in naming any one in the staff, since each one was perfect in his/her role, but just to recognize someone who made our evenings full of fun and entertainment, Luis, the musician, stood out. We continued to love traveling with Viking, and in the future, we will be sure to treat us to a suite and balcony. OBRIGATO for a wonderful celebration of our 53th anniversary!
