We just returned from our Grand Celebration Cruise to the Bahamas….well Grand Lucayan. We arrived at the hotel a little late on Saturday 10/31. Try to arrive at check in to take advantage poolside and the free buffet in the hotel l….. even tho it is so so there is sure to be something there you like. We were put up at the Ramada Resort which is really just a hotel….but pretty nice. The common areas were clean and the landscaping by the pool was lovely…..the room hallways are a little dated but clean. Someone told us there was a bed bug scare but after inspecting our beds we felt safe.

First thing when you check in you go to the Welcome Center to get your paper work….no long wait. We got the voucher we needed for our meals and information for the tour the next morning. Lots of people at the Resort for the tour but they move you along. We were told the tour was just “in the morning” but it lasted until after 2pm. If you skip breakfast (if you can) you might get out a little faster. Our sales person took us to a restaurant for breakfast and the food was delicious. During the presentation time. a total of 3 different people tried to sell us a time share…. Some pressure but respectful. So with that behind us we headed back to the hotel to relax.

The morning of departure to head to the hotel surprise! One more presentation. We were told we were especially selected for the VIP treatment to board the ship and would receive our VIP badge after the presentation. It was for a Travel Club. Lots of talking – lots of information (from 3 different people) – too confusing to me.
