This was the first time we've cruised to Bermuda, and will most likely be our last! The seas from Baltimore to Bermuda were so rough!! A lot of seasoned cruisers were complaining about being seasick and rookies were downright miserable! This was our 3rd cruise out of Baltimore and the first one with any kind of rough seas, so I suppose we've been lucky. The weather was cloudy and a bit rainy off and on, but the wind was relentless, which created the 6-8 foot seas we were encountering. I DO realize Carnival has nothing to do with the weather, so other than the roughness, things were, as usual, quite nice onboard the Pride.

We have noticed the reduction of staff and services though, even to the point of asking when you want your cabin tended to, morning OR evening, not both anymore! The main dining room staff has also been cut, so the wait for meals is longer, athe quality of the food has gone down as well. But cruising with Carnival is still a great way to visit new (or old favorite) places and have a fairly affordable, relaxing vacation.

Ocean Suite

Cabin OS

This was a nice suite, albeit with a few issues. For instance, who decided a stationary shower door on the end of the soaking tub where the faucets are was a good plan?? You have to get into the tub to turn the water on to fill it for the whirlpool feature! DUH!
