The Celebrity Silhouette is a wonderful ship. For the most part, the food was great. The buffet choices for breakfast and lunch were wonderful, and the food was well-prepared. We had Celebrity Select dining in the main dining room. The service varied from adequate to outstanding depending on where we sat. The food was very good, especially the lobster tails on the second formal night. We had the Classic Beverage Package and had wine with dinner. We never had a problem getting wine. The choices were quite limited on the classic package, but we always found a wine we liked. We ate in Qsine, Murano, The Porch, and The Bistro. Qsine was awesome, so many choices, all well-prepared. The menu in Murano is getting tired. The food is quite good, but it's been the same for a few years. The Porch has mainly cold seafood. The quality of the food was outstanding, but more hot food choices would be more appealing. The Bistro was terrible. It took over 2 hours to get our entrees, and the crepes were cold, not hot. Celebrity listened to our complaints (6 of us), agreed we got bad service, and didn't charge us for the meal. We visited some great Mediterranean ports - Salerno, Italy, Messina, Sicily, Marseilles, France, Villefranche, France, Ajaccio, Corsica, and Livorno, Italy. In Marseilles, we left around 6 PM, even though Villefranche is only about 100 miles away. An extra 2 hours would have made a real difference in excursion possibilities. In Ajaccio, we left around 5 PM, pulled out into the harbor and sat for 2 hours. Again, the extra time in port would have allowed for much better excursions. We did private excursions in every port. The Internet was a joke. It was way faster to use the free internet in the ports than the ship's Internet. Sometimes, we couldn't even get an Internet connection. We just used the Internet for emails. It was way too slow to use a search engine. The ship was wonderful, clean and well managed. The food was really good, except for the Bistro. Our stateroom was immaculate. The Classic Beverage Package was a good deal for us, since it was included as a perk. Unless you drink a lot, I don't think it is worth $50 per day. The cruise was a real bargain, considering the quality of the food, accommodations, entertainment, and the ports of call. We will sail Celebrity again.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class
Cabin C2 1036
Cabin was immaculate, cabin steward did a great job. We never took advantage of the afternoon canapés because we were never in the room then. Don't like room layout. Most storage is above the bed. Very inconvenient. Much prefer the storage on Millenium class ships. Bathroom was spotless, good shower. Lots of storage, but would prefer more counter space.
