Our first cruise with Silversea after we had our fill of the huge 3000-plus passenger ships. We really enjoyed the cruise and were impressed with pretty well everything - the large, comfortable cabin with a big shower room and a separate curtained area for sitting and watching TV . Food and service were excellent and dinner was served in a very elegant dining room. Some of the portions were on the small side, but the very helpful staff would always bring a second helping. The complimentary wines were very good,, and if someone did not like what was on offer, an alternative was always available.

We were pleasantly surprised on such a small ship to find an elegant theatre with a show every evening feauturing a very talented group of versatile singers and dancers who were able to do everything from rock and roll to light opera.

The organised shore trips seemed expensive, and as we prefer to do our own thing, we took advantage of the courtesy shuttle bus into the town centres and took a taxi. Read more
