First of all, I read several reviews before going to Asia with RC "Legend of the Seas", of course, most of the reviews are always for complaining...I must say my holiday were way better than what I expected....My husband and I had a Junior Suite and we really enjoyed the view. The food from the main dining room was very good and we had a great waiter, Anthonio. Also the service at the Park Cafe was good, the quesadillas are amazing! The buffet in the mornings were a little bit heavy in my point of view, but they have good other options like oatmeal and fruit.
We bought 2 beverage packages that at the end, we felt we were consuming just because "we had to" more than "we want to"...so,think about getting an expensive package if you're not a serious drinker... I had the 22usd/ day and only because of the fresh OJ I think it was worth it...my husband had the 42 usd /wine+beer and was not bad, but there are many days you're out of the ship and basically you have to drink a lot after the day out...and maybe you're not in the mood for... it depends, we noticed several people stayed in pretty much all day, and maybe it works for them....right? Btw, we're 32 and 33 so we really wanted to be outside very early in the morning to enjoy more...
The excursions were a little bit overpriced, we preferred most of the times to pay a local but we decided this when the ship was close to the town we were visiting...we also took two excursions and they were amazing because of course the tour people gives you more info than a taxi driver or a tuk tuk driver who barely speaks English...so maybe give it a try.
Very good.....couple of noises at night but I guess is normal. We heard many times like someone running on the ceiling, we never knew what it was because we had the solarium on top of our room...maybe was the dish car? Bed was amazing! we didn't miss our tempur mattress at home...
Singapore is an amazing city and easy to walk around.
We hired a taxi and paid 70 dollar for 5 hours tour. We were generous with him, and he was very nice and grateful at the end. We went to the temples, the beach where we got a incredible 5 dollar massage...I remember there was a place next to it call Monkey bar....we went to the waterfall and the rocks (Grandma, Grandpa).
We didn't go to Bangkok, we went to Pattaya. We had a good time but this town is very average. Not really too much too see...it was worth it because we got another massage here and it was also amazing. We drank fresh coconuts as well...
Please please....don't take the excursion.... take a risk and spend the day at the beach..but not the one from the excursion, go to "Otres 2" .....it was AMAZING!!!!!! clean, not full and still virgin areas.... maybe take a ride with a tuk tuk and please please, don't bargain too much with the drivers... we paid 55 dollars for 5 hours and kind of felt bad...they have to pay some people to let them get inside the port to get customers....yup, I didn't know this until I was on the ship again.
