My wife & I are from Texas & recently cruised on the Norwegian Jade out of Venice, Italy to ports in Greece, Croatia, & Turkey. The food onboard was excellent. Of the 3 different lines on which we have traveled, food on the Norwegian cruise is by far the highest quality. Nightly Showroom entertainment was Top-Notch. Our Cabin was smaller than it appeared in brochures, but our cabin steward did everything possibly to accommodate us & make our trip comfortable.

However, with the many positives we experienced, I would be remiss in writing this review if I failed to point out that the service in the restaurants, dining rooms, & lounges was just embarrassing. Many times we had to get up from our meals & go find a waiter for more drinks, silverware, or whatever. Tables were left un-bussed & sometimes, when crowded, we would have to sit down at dirty ones, with waiters walking by. All of the dining & lounge areas were understaffed & the waiters seemed untrained.

Worst of all was the pool & sundeck areas where there was no service. If you wanted a beverage, you had to walk to the nearest bar & stand in a mile-long line. We just felt that, when spending the money to travel half way around the world for a Mediterranean cruise, we shouldn't have to stand in line for food & drinks. We shouldn't have to serve ourselves.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M1

Cabin was under a deck area that was cleared & restocked @ 5:00 AM each morning. Very noisy. Balcony on this unit was much smaller than others of the same price.
