We have been on other larger cruise lines such as Carnival, NCL, RCCL, but to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary wanted to take a quick short cruise. After reading reviews before we boarded we did not set high expectations. The truth is that we were pleasantly surprised with this cruise. The ship is outdated, no frills, but was very clean and well maintained. We had a decent size interior cabin but the location was not the greatest.Try to avoid AFT cabins we were on deck 7 AFT. Very LOUD I think it was engine noise and rocky, vibrating and very shaky ship when reaching the Bahamas.
Crew was very friendly and provided good service. Pay the extra for the Admiralty Restaurant definitely worth it. Excellent service by Giovanni our waiter, good wine selection, excellent food and very nice ambiance. Highly recommend that restaurant. We did dinner there both nights. Had buffet lunch the first day. BBQ was very good when we returned from day trip in Freeport.
Took cab to Taino beach did not stay there took another cab to Grand Lucayan Resort. Very nice beach there but no waiter to serve you on the beach you get your own drink at the bars. On the ship entertainment in the Encore room was excellent. Vegas show was OK, the comedian they had that night was very good but saw him at the Vegas show we did not pay to see the adult comedy show. Dance club was reserved for private party both nights. Ship was full to capacity but did not feel crowded at all.
Decent size well maintained, very clean interior cabin Deck 7 AFT. Will not ever do AFT cabin only because of the ship's extremely loud engine noise.
