Embarkation in San Juan was very easy, however; the waiting area gets a bit cramped and the chairs are so tight, it was standing room only. However, once the doors opened the boarding process was smooth.
We have been on a handful of cruises and we were accompanied by some novice cruisers. They had a fantastic time and were extremely impressed with the "vibe" of this ship. I have been on fun cruises, and the crew here goes out of its way to make the trip fun, friendly and special.
We are "economical" (CHEAP) cruisers, we had an inside cabin that was more than adequate and comfortable. The TV was an old tube TV and the programming very modest. It was heavy on the Royal infomercials. We had two rooms that were the only rooms on a small interior hallway and on deck 4. Very convenient to everything! Our room attendant always had our room sparkling and room service was prompt and accurate!
Adequate, clean and comfortable. Please upgrade TV and programming. However, I spend little time in the room...
Love Old San Juan. The Baranchina (sp?) restaurant will hold your bags for free. Please tip well as he is always honest and safe. Great shopping and party places.
Transportation with Rum Punch on the way back followed by a T-Shirt/Tip suggestion. It was safe transportation and on time. No issues.
Great flea market/vendors that sell beer. I love Makeson, it is an island "stout". It is more like a dark lager...Still very tasty! The people very friendly.
Great Shopping and beautiful beaches! I will go back again here. Southwest Airlines does fly here...BAGS FLY FREE and TRANSFARENCY!
Nice port with a old European vibe. Lost my purchases by setting them down at a bench and walked off. I hope who ever found them likes the shirt, sox and elephant figurine. My wife was very upset at my carelessness.
