The Viking Star cruise "Empires of the Mediterranean " was a pleasure from start to finish. The ports and excursions were wonderful with good guides and well planned tours. The ship itself was amazing: so well designed and comfortable. Love the aesthetic and the many ways to relax, learn and have fun from the pool, the restaurants and bars, the theaters, talks, places to sit and read or play games. I particularly loved the Zumba class on the top deck at sunset with a fabulous teacher, Suzsanne. (sp?)

The only excursion that was a disappointment was Athens: Inside the Acropolis . We paid extra for it and it was a very crowded climb to see from and distance buildings that were under repair. As we passed the fabulous museum on the bus, the guide told us how great it was and we should go someday (sigh)

My husband and I both really enjoyed the cruise, the ship and the other passengers. The staff was exceptional.
