Sailing on the Viking Star was like being on a 5* floating hotel. We knew it was a relatively new ship but it seemed most of the kinks had been worked out. There is ample space and we never felt crowded. The restaurants from the Buffet Bar to the Restaurant to the Pool Bar to the Chef's Table and finally the experience at the Kitchen Table were extraordinary-the service was impeccable and the food just wonderful. Every attempt was made to meet any special needs. We grew quite fond of our servers and they felt like family.

Our only disappointment was the included excursion in Athens. Would have opted for an extra excursion. Otherwise the way the folk were moved about on buses was seemless-no waiting. I would suggest if some folk are not back on the bus at the designated time, the bus should leave. Adults need to be responsible.

We were very pleased with our stateroom, much larger than the river cruise line and a very nice sized bathroom.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Comfortable bed, lovely amenities, very nice size, big bathroom for a cruise. Good storage.

Port Reviews

Kotor

Guide was excellent, loved the experience in the village and the samples of cheese and ham, touring the museum was very interesting and then the old town. Very interesting ride up the switchbacks going up the mountain.

Santorini

A wonderful knowledgeable guide-the visit to Akrotiri was unforgettable. Loved our lunch and wine tasting.
