What a wonderful experience. We had taken a couple of 'big boat' cruises previously, but this smaller ship met our needs perfectly. I have MS and have become somewhat disabled over time, but the size of this ship was MUCH better for me. Cruise Director David Morgan did a splendid job of taking extra care to meet my needs while enhancing my enjoyment. I can't possibly thank him enough for all the thought he put into his plans for me. My wife went on most port excursions, and I did so as well, although I did so a bit differently. I was able to see the majestic sights, but not on extended walking tours.

Being able to embark and disembark in only seconds definitely beats the alternative we experienced previously. Having a daily informational sheet left in our room the night before clarified all facets and activities for the next day's destination. Over the term of the cruise, we became familiar with all the staff along with numerous other passengers. The food was very good and incorporated regional tastes and varieties given the different locations we passed through. Each night's entertainment in the lounge area was quite enjoyable and appropriately sized for the limited amount of space available.

I tried to find unfavorable issues and circumstances, but the immensely supportive staff and crew made us feel quite comfortable at ALL times. Thank you!

Deluxe Stateroom with Window

Cabin D

There was plenty of room in our cabin, and we did not feel uncomfortable at all. The only complaint was that the bed was really quite hard, but I have seen this previously on other cruise ships. This must have been a standard cruise mattress that would keep moisture out of it and thereby avoid becoming moldy.

Port Reviews

Bratislava

Bratislava is a very nice little city, with all the sights and crafts one could expect to find in an Eastern European location such as this. We were certainly favorable impressed, and it was one of our favorite stops along the river.

Linz (Salzburg)

Seeing Salzburg sites was quite enjoyable, and the bus ride from Linz to Salzburg was not a problem. While there was not a need to use the onboard restroom, it was good to know it was there!

Vienna

Vienna is an exciting place, and we would like to spend more time there. We greatly enjoyed the concert we attended at the palace. This had a small orchestra, and 4 vocalists, 2 sopranos, 1 baritone, and 1 tenor. It seemed quite appropriate to listen to music by Strauss and Mozart!
